Dear Friend,

I miss you so much!  I'm now in an English class, named ESL, and I'm in level 6.

I've been in the US for about 8 months, since Jan 8, 2023. I am now enjoying my new life here.

First, I can do my work well.  We have an office in Raleigh, which is about 30 minutes away from my home by driving. But, I have never been there until now. Since it's a shared office, its space is busy, and its parking lots cost a lot. So, most of my colleagues choose to work at home, including me. I like working at home usually, in this way we can save time on the road, so we can have more free time to share with family. But sometimes,  I feel a little bored if my wife is shopping outside, nobody can talk to me; sometimes, my daughter plays around me, so I cannot work.

Second, I can balance life and work. I like to walk out after hours of work, to breathe fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. I can drive to market stores after lunch, just as a rest, to buy something.

Last, my income increased and my family can have a better quality of life and education. Otherwise, the natural environment is beautiful and people around are kind. We have many new friends in our community and school.

We have a plan to go back to our original country for some months after my newborn son is 6 months old.

Best wishes,

Wei
